Today my dad and I took a trip upstate to Rickett's Glen State Park in Benton, Pennsylvania. I had been wanting to visit a state park to go hiking for the entire summer and I was so happy to finally have the opportunity to do so. Going down the mountain and photographing the waterfalls was wonderful, and we really enjoyed ourselves. However, I had to come up somehow and the hike back up was so much harder than both my dad and I had anticipated.
With bottles of water in hand and towels around our necks, we began the sweaty, long, hike back up the mountain. I powered through my burning legs and chest to reach the Ganoga Waterfall, the tallest waterfall in the park (towering at whopping 94 feet above the ground).
My trip to Rickett's Glen was the perfect way to end my summer. See photos from my adventure below.
